My very own Ovenless Cheese Cake

12 Apr 2011. entah tiba2 aku dapat seru. i'm gonna bake my own cheesecake.. my very own.

Ok lah, the list of ingredients begins..

Ingredient A

Butter, half, melted
melted
biscuit, 1 cup
crunched

melted butter mixed with biscuit
presses as thin base
then.. simpan dalam peti sejuk

* maklumlah pecahkan biskut pakai tangan je. so kasar2 lah.

Ingredient B

Cream Cheese - 1 box

let it soften in ambient temperature.
 stir until soft.

Condensed milk - 1/2 tin (200g)

mix it with softened stirred creamcheese
*klu nak manis letak lah lebih
lemon - 1

half cup of the juice.
*nak masam letak lebih, x nak masam kurangkan.
rasa je masa tengah kacau tuh

Agar - Agar Powder - Two table spoon

mixed with 1/2 boiled water.
stir until all the powder dilute
let it cold down a bit
*resepi sebenar pakai
gelatin powder

Mixture of Ingredient B

electric mixer will help. but i don't want to buy it for this once a year occasion. berpeluh gak mengacau mende ni. tapi cuit-cuit rasa cam dah sedap. (sedap la kot)

two become one
pour in the micture of ingredient B on the hardened base. maaf, base nampak selekeh. then put it in refrigerator until the cheese mixture solidified. for my case, i let it overnight. as i planned to eat it for breakfast. maybe its not the right time, but who cares..

then.... tada.......! the cake is ready..

*messy.. coz the base is too thick.
my cake, missing 1/3 of the base
preparing this cake manually (obviously) is very tiring and require a lot of energy, so i guess, i deserved those calorie in it.

and i want to complaint one thing, why these lemon is very expensive. never buy it before...
58.25 THB.. Pheng maag

this whole process make me think..

whether its easy or hard, its up to the level of hunger you are in.

*betulkan bahasa omputihku klu salah.

*the quantity mentioned in this recipe is halved from original recipe. so just double it

tak jadi takpe, leh buat lagi.. rasa tak jauh lari nyer...

selamat mencuba..

สุขสันต์วันสงกรานต์ "suk san wan Songkran" "Happy Songkran Day"

let make 'em wet

Songkran festival celebrate on 13-15 April every years which supposedly the peak of hot season in Thailand when temperature can go as high as 40 C. Previously set by astrological calculation.
Maple, Piyanoot, me & P'Pao.

Also celebrated as Traditional Thai new year. Most common thing during Songkran is "water throwing" scene. Well this is my first time for me to celebrate it in the middle of thai's community. all the pic inserted was an advance celebration in my workplace which consist of internal parties only. but it did look extreme for me, yet i enjoyed it maag maag.
IQA girls & me

Start by prayer by monk and then cleaning Buddha statues by pouring water with some fragrance. it is believed that his can bring luck and fortune (i didn't join this activity). Originally this "water throwing" activities is the way for thai's people to respect their elders. the water that used by Buddha's cleaning believed as "blessed water", younger people will pour the water slowly to their elders shoulder for fortune and luck.
lihat lah betapa extremenye mereka demi memastikan org lain basah (P'Toi)

My friend did warn me to cover all my electronic gadgets and wallet with plastic bags during this season as one thing that you cannot expect during Songkran is "dry". They will not let you dry, its like they hate dry ppl!. then i start thinkin', how can i capture those memories with my camera in plastic bag.. we'll see how...!

During this hot season, we called it summer, most of thai ppl will wear colourful shirt /dress with floral design on it. i never wear those kind of shirts before. it just look weird when you wear it without enough "character". but in here, if dont wear it, you look weird.

Ppl may ask " what should i do if i dont want to be wet?" my answer, don't go anywhere, stay at home coz most of the time you won't have the time to explain why i cannot be wet. Or a foreigner said "they should respect me if i don't want to wet?" my answer, where are you now? and you should know on this festive season what should you prepare.
rapeeporn & me

but if you're going to Bangkok, only certain areas are allowed to celebrate songkran. but to be safe, just keep everything well packed in sealed water resistant bag. In Nakonratcasima, the celebration is everywhere, even the motorcyclist included.

Another thing, u cannot scold ppl if they make u wet and its applicable to everyone.. so go to teach them the wet lesson too...

*play by the rule....

usah terlalu bersedih kerana ia berakhir, bersyukurlah kerana ia pernah terjadi.

i've been there before... losing another side of my life.. i've been surrounded by emptiness.. world seems to be nothing except big hollow.. and i lost the reason to live that time..

i dun understand how this unseen thingy affect my life that much. but ppl will truly agree on the existence of the feeling, the smiles they bring in, the colors they are painting, the feels, the taste.. no words can describe them.. they change us all.

but fid i know your wound is deeper then mine. much deeper.. stuck in pain.. Losing the person u love d most.  but dont ever let your sadness control your mind. stay relevant at all time.

we still here, your family will always with you. takes your time.. see the world from different angle. time will fade d pain, will cure the pain.. and there will be a stronger you..

    we luv u
    us...

Hor Taw Tack Vack Chi Mi

Hor Taw Tack Vack Chi Mi

Frankly i dont even understand what those line (the title) means. We plan to watch The Tourist but there are no "soundtrack version" for The Tourist for now. Since we've queued a long line and i refuse to turn my effort on queuing a waste, we make an ad-hoc decision. Why dont we watch Thai's movie. I should try i guess, we bought the ticket then..
In the province that there are so many "fa-rang" (foreigner), where the percentage of "fa-rang" married with local women is the highest among other province (even Krungthep), no "soundtrack version" offered and Thai movies are not well equipped with the english subtitle. it just not match. Just assume all of them can speak & understand Thai lah..
It's a horror-humour movie and these story line is what i presume (i hope it is correct) base on visual and a few words that i understand. 3 Drag Queens on vacation in a English style-decorated Villa. One of them brought together her son & her pet-ghost named Pancake (also a drag Queen). Just next to the Villa is Sii Deng (red) building, a "no-entry" building.
Appearance of the half-naked male ghost swimming every night and then fall in love with Pancake, slowly unhide the owner's secret behind black curtain. Full of black magic & love scene between two ghost also how those 3 drag ladies attempted to win the male-ghost heart, this movie amused us very well. and also one scene where 4 werewolves fight the male-ghost remind us "twilight". its a happy ending movie where the last scene after they win the fight with werewolves, shows the wedding ceremonies between Pancake & male-ghost. and they kissed...!!! (everybody screaming with excitement during this scene including me..).
its more than i expected. my eyes wide open every minute of this movie. and i really, really luv luv luv this movie..! Phom chop maag maag..

E.G.V
popcorn & drinks
3 choice of popcorn. Original, sweet & cheese. Ple like cheese..

i enjoyed this movie so much though expecting life will be as fun as the movie. But the veracity will be obviously vary. Just like the chinese proverb

"there are no endless party in this world."

have we prepared?

"New Year". Away from home.

Ya Mo
New Year 2011 is finally here. 2010 brought sweet & bitter memories. All of them "precious" lessons, exclusively for us. May it good or bad, it was them create us as what we are. Those experiences initiate our thought, act & emotion as well. Perhaps 2011, we'll be tougher, wiser & mature in our thought, act & emotion.

31 Dec dah start cuti, Jumaat. 11.30am aku bersiap mencari Tuk Tuk nak ke Maharat. Sesuatu perlu diselesaikan disana. Balik aku dah kalut, sbb tak nampak Tuk Tuk, tried to call taxi, but nobody there. Cuti gak kot derang. Gelabah, then a lady and a young girl with hijab with Muqaddam in their hand waving their hand in a way that i understood as "come here". It took some time after i realize that they are "Makcik Roti Canai & anaknya". Syukur.. maybe they have what i want.
mak cik itu & anaknya

With only a few important words that i know, i tried to ask them how to go back to Nom Phai Lom. as i know they live there too. but then they ask me to join them to shopping at Ya Mo. and suddenly, i join them. we took Songtel no.4 to Ya Mo. Tailing them to the "Carnival", then go back by Songtel no.14.

tembok lama yg masih utuh

Confirm aku bosan klu stay dalam bilik jer mlm nie, aku balik bilik jap, p toilet then, kembali menunggu songtel 14 ke Ya Mo for countdown. Selama ni takde langsung terfikir nak celebrate new year, paling hebat pun, pergi tengok wayang. Mungkin sbb kebosanan melampau, so aku beriya nak celebrate, walaupun sorang-sorang.

Hasilnya, seperti diatas. Kaki lenguh yang amat. tapi kenyang melantak Kao Niao (nasi pulut) bersama ayam yang dijual oleh wanita muslim yang boleh berbahasa kelantan sket2.

Balik kena "pow" ngan tuk tuk driver. 100THB

Kesimpulannya, so-so jer countdown tu. So lain kali tak payah lah mengada-ngada nak pergi.
tapi.. Kalau kita tak cuba, kita takkan tau kan?..

... tapi bukan semua benda boleh dicuba tau?..
